Malinzi forms two ad hoc committees

The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) president, Jamal Malinzi, has formed two ad hoc committees to evaluate the structure of the Tanzania Premier League Board and the league in general and recommend ways to improve it, including establishing a company.

According to the TFF acting secretary general, Boniface Wambura, the League’s Structure Valuation Committee is under former national team coach Dr Mshindo Msolla while secretary is the TFF’s Competition Officer, Idd Mshangama. 


Members of the committee are Rahim Kangezi, Amri Said, Sunday Manara, Salim Bawazir and Lucas Kisasa.

David Nchimbi from Delloitte has been appointed to lead the TPL Board’s Structure Valuation Committee while members are Edwin Kidifu (a lawyer from SUMATRA), Jones Paul (director of Sunderland/Symbion Academy), Evans Aveva, John Jambele, Masoud Sanani and Pelegrinius Rutahyuga. 

Meanwhile, the world’s soccer governing body (FIFA) has given Tanzania a quota of 260 tickets for the World Cup finals to be held in Brazil next year.

According to Wambura, soccer fans in the country in need of the tickets are required to send written requests to TFF explaining types of the tickets and matches they will want to watch while in Brazil.

Wambura said the tickets will be available for only those who will submit their requests in writing to FIFA through TFF

Wambura said tickets available for Tanzanians are 250 for group stages (excluding the opening match), best 16 stage, quarter-final and the third winners’ match.

He said for the opening match, two semifinal matches and the final (match number 1, 61, 52 and 64) there is only ten tickets.
The entry fees for the matches are in three categories. A ticket for the opening match 
will cost US dollars 495, 330 and 220 while the group stages (match number 2-48) is US dollar 175, 135 and 90 and the best 16 stage (match number 49-56) is US dollar 220, 165 and 110.

The quarter-final matches (match number 57-60) is US dollar 330, 220 and 165 while semis (match number 61 and 62) is US dollar 660, 440 and 275. The third winners’ match will cost US dollar 330, 220 and 165 while the final will cost 990, 660 and 440 dollars.

TFF will submit their requests for the tickets starting December 8, this year up to February 7.
